i think i may be getting a bit sick. twice this week i have slept through my alarm, and soup is the only food i seem to crave (although i did eat some leftover plum galette with my coffee this morning).
however, possible illness aside, yesterday i came home to find that my package had arrived from maria! it was difficult to decide between ryan, andrew, and cdr, but in the end, the ryan shirt suspended in midair won my heart over - it is dreamy & beautiful :)
i was going to use fridays as the day to post some inspiring links, but i think for today, instead, i am going to let you in on a little secret. some of you may already know about this gem of a place, and if you are one of those people, you will be reminded of its sweetness, but if you do not know, you are in for a real treat next time you are in nyc.
thé adoré is located at 17 east 13th street and is one of my favorite hideaways in the city. i accidentally stumbled upon it years ago when i was wandering around the west village looking for a florist, and i quickly became a regular.
here is a bit more information about it. if you magically find yourself there, i recommend sitting upstairs as close to the window as possible, preferably on a rainy autumn day.
