hello, sweet autumn friday.
bbc on the radio, a bowl of homemade muesli with a perfect pluot, and two cups of my new favorite coffee. i am ready to go!
tonight some friends and i are going to see the original clue movie at my local theatre. when i was a child i adored clue & all whodunit stories, and i was quite certain i was going to become a private investigator. my sister would enlist me to help her find a lost earring or a misplaced book. somehow, i always found them for her.

i love the black cat orchestra and their scores for film. ghosts before breakfast is my favorite.
lori goldston is the cellist from the black cat orchestra, and is just amazing. she wrote a score for carl theodor dreyer's 1928 the passion of joan of arc, a film my professor introduced to me & which burned a permanent place in my mind. you can listen to a few of lori's tracks from it here, and you can watch the film in its entirety here!
lastly, i hope you've seen this, and this. i watch them both at least once a week. in a few years i am planning on having an anniversary party for my two-decade love affair with the smiths & morrissey :)
